About Us
Welcome to the Carden Plain.
This plain rests on a limestone base. The rocky open areas are known as alvars and the fields are remnant grasslands. Both habitats are globally rare.
This plain is not farmland. It is grass ranchland perfect for grazing cattle. The gain per animal on this special grass is legendary.
In the spring, bird watchers descend on the plain looking for rare or endangered birds. The Carden Plain is one of three important bird areas in Ontario.
So there you have the landscape, rich green grass, a land of rail fences, cedar trees, clean water, peace and quiet and above all, harmony with nature.
This life and land produces the Carden Grass Fed Angus Beef.
